Remember that AMAZING slightly famous TV programme on tv called “Come Dine with me”
- it usually brings together 5 strangers - gets each of them to cook a dinner for the other and they all bitch and fight, and cumulative each evening by giving the other points!
The one with the most points at the end of the week wins!
Well in the beautiful Blue Parrot hostel we’ve made our own version
Based on a Sunday afternoon/evening, during the hangover hours of the next day :( - we’ve decided the best way to come down from the ridiculous head-ache fueled afternoon is for one of us cooking for the rest, while us others drink wine and chat!!
Beautifully renamed “COME DOWN WITH ME”
and this week we have Alex - a media marketing wed designer hot shot who has decided to provide for the rest us a LEG of LAMB, veg and potatoes!
Beautifully British, confidently cooked - this man knows what hes doing!
Gravy from the Juices, potatoes from the oven - Aunt Bessie would be proud!

So as we only thought of this theme half way through the wine we had to improvise with the scoring!
So eneter the UNO cards from the board games pile!

Next up is (myself) Andrew from Ireland who will be cooking something Irish and very possibly imitating jamie olivers naked chef days by going to the market and using lots of sexual metaphors to impress his friends!
As the Eurovision song contest is on this sunday (27th May) - The next chapter of “Come down with me” will be held on the 3rd June”
So its been a while since i posted something and stupidly i keep writing half assed blogs and never posting them!
In addition i still take loads of photos which amuse me - so im going to try and get them all published - a post every other day should work!

I went here on a recent off day and while walking around i realised THIS PLACE WAS MADE BY A 12YEAR OLD BOY!
Like all museums ive been in the past - theres a bit of Egypt, theres a few dinos and obviously for sydney theres lots of Australia fossils, plants and animals but beside all the serious work i found a section called “SURVIVING AUSTRALIA!”

In the human body section theres a bike you can cycle and watch all your bits and bobs move! - See me engaged in Education!
The cycle thing is fine, I get the practical application or demonstrating a point to teach but then ….. i found this guy!
lol this is the thing id do to mess around! but alas we have all the domestic elements, cat, dog, bird! standard issue …

Then in the corner of the room you can become an archaeologist or paleontologist or are they just wanting you to be a dog! either way - i played in the dirst and found the bones :)

Alleged images of the Super Nintendo Revolution are making rounds in social media and Facebook at a time when Nintendo Co., Ltd., is failing to meet sales targets for its portable game console Nintendo 3DS and unsure whether the iPad-like console WiiU will find the same success as the Wii.
Talks about a Super Nintendo Revolution may not be surprising as Japan’s consumer electronics giant may have to resurrect successful formulas of the past in order to recover from slumping sales.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, also known as Super NES or SNES, is a 16-bit video gme console released between the 1990 and 1993. The SNES was a global success, selling 49.1 million units despite competition from Sega’s Genesis/Mega Drive console. Overwhelming sales of the $199 SNES allowed Nintendo to reassert itself as the leader of the console market.
Amid the growing popularity of gaming via apps in tablets and smartphones and social networks, Nintendo has tried to stop the bleeding by slashing prices and launching new software titles.
And now there’s the Super Nintendo Revolution, a revamped and futuristic version of the SNES. The console now has a wireless controller and USB port and the bulky cartridges replaced by downloadable games over the Internet
However, authors of the alleged leaked images have confirmed that they are only concept-art. “This is a concept art with the idea of reviving the Super Nintendo in all its glory, but with current additions to make it more practical, but not so much,” according to the ClaymanBlog
“Anyway, for fun we spent debating features a console that, unfortunately, will NEVER exist. It is simply a concept.”
But believe the expression ‘never say never’. The SNES continues to retained following among fans even though the consoles are no longer available in the marketplace. It has continued to thrive through console emulation and in the second hand market.
Releasing a Super Nintendo Revolution might just work for Nintendo.
